Insurance and Payments

We are in network with Blue Cross Blue Shield and Aetna and we are registered to file claims with United Healthcare as an out-of-network provider. If we are out of network with your insurance company, we will accept their allowable amount for services. We do not use the practice of balance billing, which is billing the patient the difference between our fees and what the insurance company pays us.

If you have private insurance not listed here and prefer to pay us directly and receive reimbursement directly from the insurance company, we will provide you with an itemized receipt.

We do not have openings for patients on Medicaid or Medicare at this time, but can provide referrals to other excellent providers who do and provide HIV PrEP and GAHT.

We accept credit cards, debit cards, checks, and cash for payment. We are upfront about fees and costs, so you will always know what you will owe before we provide any services to you.

Payment plans and a sliding scale with higher income limits than most other clinics provide are available.

We have several flexible payment plan options to cover out-of-pocket costs. All are interest free and administered directly by the Clinic.

We offer the Sliding Fee Program for those who are unable to cover the costs of their care. We consult the Federal Poverty Guidelines (FPG) each year when evaluating our sliding scale fees, and you can see them here. However, we recognize that the FPG do not accurately reflect the cost of living. We set our sliding scale discount using a livable wage calculation.

We want you to have access to our fees up-front, so you will see the total cost and the amount you will pay out-of-pocket when setting up your appointment.

Please remember that we will never bill you for the difference between what your insurance pays us and what we charge.

Fees for laboratory testing and medications are determined by the labs and pharmacies. We can help you navigate these so that you know what the costs will be before an order is sent.
